According to Surah Jinn of the Holy Quran, when jinns listen to the Quranic verses, they describe it as an amazing book of guidance:
“(Muhammad), say, ‘It has been revealed to me that a party of jinn has listened (to the recitation) of the Quran and has told (their people), ‘We heard an amazing reading, which guides people to the right path and growth and we believe in it. We shall never consider anyone equal to our Lord.’” (Verses 1-2)
Once the Holy Prophet (PBUH) went from Mecca to the Okaz Bazaar in the city of Ta’if to invite people to Islam but no one accepted his invitation. Upon returning to Mecca, he stayed at a place named ‘Wadi Jinn’ for a night. There, he recited verses from the Holy Quran and a group of jinns heard him and then embraced Islam and went to invite other jinns to Islam.
In terms of creation, jinns are the most similar creatures to mankind as they have free will, understanding, knowledge and responsibility. So they need a prophet to guide them to the right path and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is their prophet as well.

Like it is the case among humans, there are believers and unbelievers among jinns. They are also either male or female and give birth to children. They are born, live for some years and then die. Their lifetime though is longer than that of humans.
Because jinns are made of fire, unlike humans who are made of earth, they are different from humans in many ways. For example, they are invisible and they move very quickly from one place to another.
So a group of jinns heard the recitation of the Quran and described it as an amazing book of guidance. Why did they call the Quran amazing? It is amazing in terms of its tone and melody, its attractiveness and influence on the soul, its inspirational content and the fact that it was introduced by a person who had not been educated.
The Quran is a word that is amazing in appearance and in content and is different from all other words. So the jinns acknowledged that the Quran is a miracle.
All the things that are amazing and wonderful become ordinary and mundane after some time but the Quran will remain amazing forever.

The Quran challenges the unbelievers to bring a Surah like those of the Holy Book, “Do they say that Muhammad has invented it? (Muhammad), tell them, ‘If your claim is true, compose only one chapter like it and call on anyone besides God for help.’” (Verse 38 of Surah Yunus). However, no one has been able to do it for 14 centuries.
Imam Ali (AS) says in Nahj al-Balagha that the wonders of the Holy Quran never end.
As for the Quran being a book of guidance, there are many terms used to point to this fact. In Verse 2 of Surah jinn, the word Rushd (growth) is used, which is a comprehensive and extensive concept.
It is understood from this verse that the guidance of the Quran is forever and it is not just for humans but also for jinns.
